TROY W. THACKER
Partner
Mr. Thacker is a Partner of Paine & Partners, LLC and member of the Investment Committee of the firm's $1.2 billion Fund III. He brings industry expertise in the financial services, industrial, power & energy.
Mr. Thacker was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a graduate of Rice University (B.S. Chemical Engineering, 1995) and has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School (2000).
After graduating from Rice, Mr. Thacker began his career focused on the power and energy industries, first with Morgan Stanley & Co. in Houston, Texas and then with SCF Partners, a private equity investment firm focused on the energy services and equipment manufacturing markets.
In 2000, Mr. Thacker joined Gryphon Investors, Inc., a middle-market private equity firm in San Francisco. While at Gryphon, he focused on retail and business services investment opportunities.
Mr. Thacker joined the predecessor firm in 2001 and had responsibility for Fund I and Fund II investments in Paradigm Geophysical, United American Indemnity, Ltd. and United American Energy Corporation.
Mr. Thacker is currently a member of the Board of Directors of WireCo WorldGroup.
