STEPHAN KESSEL
Operating Director
Dr. Kessel is a graduate of the Rheinisch Westflische Technische Hochschule of Aachen (PhD, Chemistry).
Dr. Kessel began his career in a research and development capacity with Continental AG, the leading supplier of tires, brake and chassis systems to the automotive industry.
In 1999, Dr. Kessel was appointed CEO, and was responsible for the acquisition of the automotive electronic division TEMIC, the creation of a JV with Yokohama Tires and the turnaround of Continental’s ContiTrade division.
In 2002, Dr. Kessel joined Investcorp International Ltd. as Advisory Director, and served as Chairman on the Advisory Boards of Gerresheimer Glas, Minimax, and Stahl.
In 2005, Dr. Kessel became Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors of Vulcan Holdings Luxembourg S.a.r.l., the parent company of VCST Industrial Products VCST.
Dr. Kessel joined the firm in 2006 as an Operating Director.
Dr. Kessel is currently on the Supervisory Board of Stabilus GmbH, Member of the Board and Audit Committee of WireCo WorldGroup, Chairman of the Board of Timepartner Holding, Chairman of the Board of Armacell International, and Chairman of the Board of Visiocorp Plc.
